Famous Real Estate: John Barrymore

All film lovers are familiar with the name John Barrymore, and now you can own his home.

Located in Los Angeles to no surprise, this massive estate is certainly not lacking in terms of features and grandeur.

Barrymore and his wife, silent-film actress Dolores Costello, purchased the home in 1938an have now put it up for sale, listing it at $6.495 million.

This home features 6,300 square feet and has a definite air of Old Hollywood to it.

That includes the magnificent grand entry foyer with hand-carved mahogany paneling and staircase with velvet banister and gilded railings; these are features that are not found in homes all too often these days, and which makes them quite unique and sought after by many.
